PROJECT DETAILS
Hardee’s UAE was looking to strengthen its position in an increasingly crowded fast-food market. The brand was well known, but it was becoming harder to stand out, particularly with a younger generation whose expectations and relationship with fast food were changing.
The category was changing too. Healthier lifestyles, conscious eating and moderation were becoming part of the conversation, and fast-food brands were increasingly responding with healthier choices and lighter alternatives.
But people still went to fast food for a very different reason. They wanted the burger. The fries. The shake. The sauce. They wanted to satisfy a craving and enjoy it.
That felt much more relevant to Hardee’s.
The opportunity was to take something already true about the product and turn it into a stronger position for the brand. Hardee’s could own indulgence and the pleasure that comes with it. Big burgers, bold flavours, generous portions and the freedom to enjoy the experience completely.
This became GO ALL IN, a new positioning built around a simple attitude towards food and life: if you want it, enjoy it properly.
GO ALL IN gave Hardee’s a clearer point of view and a way to connect with a younger audience through something genuine to the brand, while creating a strong foundation for how Hardee’s could speak, behave and express itself.
IDENTITY SYSTEM
The identity needed to carry the same attitude as GO ALL IN. It had to celebrate everything that makes fast food enjoyable: the craving, the excess, the mess, the guilty pleasure and the freedom to enjoy it without taking it too seriously.
That attitude shaped how the brand behaved. We embraced the chaos of eating a great burger, the sauce, the dripping, the oversized portions, the hands-on experience. The food could be loud, messy and excessive because that was exactly the experience Hardee’s wanted to own.
The same spirit carried into the language. Hardee’s became more direct, provocative and playful, with messages that encouraged people to dig in, get messy and enjoy what they came for. More is More. Answer the Craving. Guilty Tastes Good. The voice became part of the experience rather than simply a way of selling individual products.
Illustration brought another layer of personality to the brand, allowing Hardee’s to tell stories around its food with humour and spontaneity. Across packaging, communication, restaurants and digital, the identity could change expression while always coming from the same place.
It created a Hardee’s that felt more alive, more irreverent and much closer to the pleasure of the product itself. GO ALL IN was the positioning, but it also became the principle for how the brand behaved.
