BLACKBOX is a production agency based in Dubai, UAE, It recently joined an international network of independent creative agencies with the objective of collaborating worldwide. Catering primarily to these agencies, it focuses on video production, photography, media content and post-production. They had their big break in the industry as they expanded their scope of work to fit the new dynamic of the creative network. Blackbox's focus was moving towards being a multifunctional production powerhouse.
With different disciplines within their scope of work, Blackbox offers an expansion of multiple angles and sides to media production, it was time for BLACKBOX to reveal an image and tone that was as edgy, unique and versatile as the product it offered. Making it more engaging to its target and reflecting its values and putting them in a level they belong.
Shifting angles and
Video and photography are at the heart of Blackbox. As a discipline that is embedded in most of their work, they become essential for creating content and delivering results. Camera lenses are the eyes of BLACKBOX. This was our inspiration when creating the brand's Identity. Aiming at unifying the brand and creating a unique communication that embodies the key discipline of BLACKBOX as well as creating a language that would become signature of the core DNA of BLACKBOX. We picked up on camera motions and the video and photography lingo. Inspired by angles and different perspectives we created a device that would hold the brand identity together.
A transformative and dynamic device
The logo is used as the main identity vessel. A device that is transformative and flexible allowing us to use it as a container that holds the product within, and at the same time, as a visual cue that links the visual language and builds brand recognition.
The result is a unique visual language that is dynamic and flexible. Building on the need to create an adaptable system that harbors Blackbox's content.
The main device allowed us to create a flexible system that continuously changes and adapts to its content. Creating a new identity that speaks to the ever-changing ideas, and the different perspectives that are created from collective conversations between content and consumers, adapting continuously to its environment.
